The City of Austin’s LeadSmart Program is funded by the Housing and
Urban Development Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control to
provide lead abatement services, to residents of Austin Texas living
in homes constructed prior to 1978. The LeadSmart Program provides
lead based paint inspections and lead hazard control services at to
low and moderate income household that have children less than 6 yrs
visiting or living in the house, at NO cost.
